A knitwear factory in Tirupur

Not a trading office with a good website. Here is what we actually own, run and answer for.

Jai Sakthi Garments manufactures cotton knitwear in Tirupur, India, supplying wholesale and private label buyers in the United Kingdom and worldwide.

UK buyers ask harder questions than most about traceability and labelling, and that is reasonable — the liability sits with the importer, not the factory.

What follows describes how we actually work, in enough detail that you can check it rather than take it on faith.

Process

Six stages, one address

Most exporters in Tirupur subcontract at least half of this list. Every stage below happens under our own supervision, which is why we can answer a question about your order the same day you ask it.

01

Knitting & Fabric

Single jersey, pique, interlock, rib, French terry and fleece knitted to the GSM your style needs — so fabric quality is decided by us, not by whoever the market has stock from that week.

02

Dyeing & Processing

Reactive dyeing, bio-wash, enzyme wash, compacting and pre-shrinking. Lab-dipped shade matching against your Pantone or physical swatch before bulk goes ahead.

03

Cutting & Stitching

Pattern making, grading, marker planning and bulk cutting, with dedicated stitching lines for knits. Side-seam or tubular, flatlock or overlock, to your construction spec.

04

Printing & Embroidery

Screen, DTG, DTF, sublimation, puff, high-density and discharge printing, plus computerised embroidery. Wash-tested before bulk print runs.

05

Quality Control

Inline checks at cutting and stitching, plus a final AQL inspection before packing. Third-party inspection agencies are welcome in our unit at any stage.

06

Packing & Export

Retail-ready polybagging, barcode and carton marking, and full export documentation. FOB, CIF and DDP terms handled with our freight partners.

How we work

Four things we are strict about

We would rather lose the order than miss the date

If a delivery window is not realistic for the quantity and decoration you want, we say so at quotation stage instead of agreeing and then explaining later. It costs us orders. It also means the dates we do give are worth something.

Nothing leaves without being checked

Inline checks happen at cutting and stitching, and a final AQL inspection runs before packing. If a lot fails, it gets reworked here rather than becoming your problem in a warehouse eight thousand miles away.

Shade consistency across repeat orders

For uniform and corporate programmes this is the whole game. We keep approved lab dips on file and match repeat production against the original approval, not against the last batch — otherwise colour drifts a little every season until year three looks nothing like year one.

Come and look

Buyers are welcome in the unit at any stage of production, and so are third-party inspectors. We treat an inspection request as normal procurement practice, because it is.

Tirupur, the cotton knitwear cluster of Tamil Nadu, India
Location

Why Tirupur matters

Tirupur is a single district in Tamil Nadu that produces a large share of India's cotton knitwear exports. Four decades of specialisation have put spinning mills, dyehouses, accessory makers, printers and finishing units within a few kilometres of each other.

For a manufacturer that means an urgent trim can be sourced the same afternoon rather than the next week. For a buyer it means lead times here hold up under pressure in a way they do not in clusters where every input has to travel.
